STORY

The Raven is a small Shrewsbury-based book shop which works closely with the local community. It has been owned and run by me, Laura Bottomley, since 2017.

 

The shop features a large fiction section, covering crime, genre fiction, classics and children’s. The non-fiction side focuses on local history, military history, art, biography, philosophy, feminism and narrative travel.

 

I also deal in antiquarian and collectable books, and exhibit at PBFA book fairs two or three times a year. I buy from the local community and often from customers who need to have a clear-out.
